EGX opens Tuesday on mixed note

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) started Tuesday’s trading session on a mixed note.

By 10:24 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index slid 45.24 points, or 0.28%, to 15,876.01 points.

The EGX70 index added 0.25% to 797.87 points, while the EGX100 index remained stable at to 2,037 points.

The equal-weighted EGX50 index dipped 0.5318 to 2,669 points.

Trading volume reached about 10.13million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 48.35 million through 811 transactions.

Egyptians investors were net sellers with EGP 1.7 million, while foriegn and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 1.2 million and EGP 177,300, respectively.

The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) jumped 1.68% to EGP 85.5.
