EGX opens Tuesday up on Arab buying

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) started Tuesday’s trading session up in the back of Arab buying.

By 10:22 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index edged up 86.28 points, or 0.57%, to 15,244.94 points.

The EGX70 index added 0.56% to 858.54 points, while the EGX100 index went up 0.36% to 2,042 points.

The equal-weighted EGX50 index gained 0.48% to 2,709 points.

Trading volume reached about 44.4 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 97.9 million through 3,000 transactions.

Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 5.12 million, while foreign and Egyptian investors were net sellers with EGP 2.08 million and EGP 3.02 million, respectively.

The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) inched up 0.08% to EGP 76 at a turnover of EGP 2.8 million.
