Cairo – Mubasher: The indices of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) have slightly dropped early Wednesday, pressed by foreign selling.
By 10:24 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index marginally lost 67.55 points, or 0.46% to 14,662.2 points.
The EGX70 index inched down 0.08% to 843.14 points, while the EGX100 index dipped 0.12% to 2,025 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index remained stable at 2,611 points.
Trading volume on stocks reached about 5.8 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 25.8 million through 1,300 transactions.
Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 2.6 million, while non-Arab and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 47,800 and EGP 2.6 million, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) edged up 0.11% to EGP 73.89 at a turnover of EGP 2.7 million.
