Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) started Wednesday’s trading session in green territory on the back of local buying.
By 10:40 am Cairo time, the benchmark EX30 index rose 0.52% above 15,800 points to 1,843.06 points
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index edged up 0.19% to 753.30 points, while the broader EGX100 index added 0.24% to 1,952.66 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index went up 0.52% to 2,624.77 points.
Trading volume amounted to nearly 25.5 million shares exchanged through 3,200 transactions at a turnover of EGP 79.8 million.
Foreign and Arab were net sellers with EGP 3.2 million and EGP 116,000, respectively, while Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 3.3 million.
