EGX opens Wednesday in green

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has started Wednesday’s trading session in green territory.

By 10:14 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index edged up 0.2% to 14,761.89 points.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index added 0.27% to 691.4 points, while the broader EGX100 index went up 0.25% to 1,749 points.

The equal-weighted EGX50 index added 0.4% to 2,366 points.

Trading volume amounted to 15.6 million shares exchanged through 1,400 transactions at a turnover of EGP 36.7 million.

Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 1.16 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 303,900 and EGP 865,600, respectively.

The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) inched up 0.05% to EGP 88.74.
