EGX opens Wednesday in green

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Wednesday’s trading session in the green territory as the benchmark EGX30 index grew 59.10 points, or 0.39%, to 15,198 points.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index edged up 0.1% to 707.37 points, while the broader EGX100 index added 0.21% to 1,793.68 points.

Likewise, the equal-weighted EGX50 index leveled up 0.55% to 2,475 points.

Meanwhile, trading volume reached around 25.36 million shares exchanged through 3,800 transactions at a turnover of EGP 146.09 million.

Foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 479,600, whereas Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 432,060 and 47,600, respectively.

The heavyweight commercial International Bank (CIB) added 0.45% to EGP 71.4, with a turnover of EGP 17,800.
