EGX opens Wednesday near-stable

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Wednesday’s trading session near-stable.

By 10:13 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index inched up 7.92 points, or 0.05%, to 16,075.69 points.

The EGX70 index went up 0.01% to 808.87 points, while the EGX100 index slipped 0.27% to 2,037 points.

The equal-weighted EGX50 index edged up 0.3% to 2,719 points.

Trading volume amounted to around 10.25 million shares exchanged through 825 transactions at a turnover of EGP 24.9 million.

Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 28.3 million, while Egyptian and foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 23.13 million and EGP 5.2 million, respectively.

It has not been traded on the heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) yet.
