Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Wednesday’s trading session on a mixed note amid local and Arab buying and foreign selling.
By 10:12 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index dipped 0.11% or 16.17 points to 14,444.79 points.
The EGX70 index edged up 0.08% to 781.6 points, while the EGX100 index inched up 0.06% to 1,831.11 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index went up 0.11% to 2,525 points.
Meanwhile, trading volume reached 12.13 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 56.5 million through 1,300 transactions.
Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 2.9 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 1.43 million and EGP 1.47 million, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) shed 0.55% to EGP 74.
