Cairo – Mubasher: the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has opened Wednesday’s trading session on a mixed noted.
By 10:30 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index slipped 48.11 points, or 0.29%, to 16,937 points.
The EGX70 index added 0.23% to 851.55 points, while the EGX100 index shed 0.19% to 2,185 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index inched down 0.02% to 2,911 points.
Trading volume amounted to nearly 24.7 million shares exchanged at a turnover EGP 87.08 million through 2,120 transactions.
Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 7.2 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 2.3 million and EGP 4.9 million, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) slid 0.23% to EGP 87.01, with a turnover of EGP 53,040.
