Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) started Wednesday’s trading session on a mixed note.
By 10:30 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index shed 21.85 points, or 0.16%, to 13,566.89 points.
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index levelled up 0.02% to 689.91 points, whereas the broader EGX100 index inched up 0.01% to 1,734 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index added 0.03% to 2,091 points.
Trading volume amounted to nearly 10.2 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 40.6 million through 1,900 transactions.
Foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 57.2 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 53.7 million and EGP 3.4 million, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) slipped 0.09% to EGP 80.13.
