Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) started Wednesday’s trading session on a mixed note.
By 10:25 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index slipped 54.55 points, or 0.4%, to 13,489.09 points.
The small- and mid-cap EX70 index added 0.10% to 697.75 points, while the broader EGX100 index inched up 0.01% to 1,742.33 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index shed 0.16% to 2,180 points.
Trading volume amounted to nearly 13.8 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 56.75 points through 1,200 transactions.
Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 2.2 million, whereas Egyptian and foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 1.15 million and EGP 1.07 million, respectively.
Th heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) slid 0.25% to EGP 80.
