Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) started Wednesday’s trading session in green territory, boosted by Egyptian and Arab buying.
By 10:18 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index increased 52.94 points, or 0.4%, to 12,723.57 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 index rose 0.10%, reaching 670.49 points.
The EGX100 index levelled up 0.38% to 1,676 points, while the equal-weighted EGX50 index grew 0.77% to 2,099 points.
The bourse’s trading volume hit 6.8 million shares exchanged through 1,150 transactions at a turnover of EGP 32.09 million.
Foreign traders were net sellers with EGP 6.4 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 5.7 million, and EGP 628,800, respectively.
