Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange started Monday on a positive note as the main index EGX30 rose 1.8% or 227.22 points to 12,949.3 points by 10:45 CLT.
The small and mid-cap EGX70 increased 1.2% to 468.25 points and the broader index EGX100 was 1.2% higher to 1,145.22 points.
Volumes stood at 100.6 million shares traded at EGP 477.6 million.
Nationals and Arabs were net sellers by EGP 1.92 million and EGP 7.44 million, while foreign investors were net buyers by EGP 9.3 million.
Around 23 blue-chip stocks saw a rise, led by Arabian Cement (+9.83%), while the largest EGX30 constituent CIB rose 2.7% to EGP 77.4 a share.
