Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Wednesday’s trading on a positive note as its benchmark EGX30 index grew 0.21% or 28 points to the level of 13,023.47 points.
By 10:22 am Cairo time, the EGX70 and EGX100 indices rose 0.14% and 0.08% respectively, while the EGX50 index declined 0.08%.
Trading volume reached 15.5 million shares exchanged through 3,000 transactions, at a turnover of EGP 99 million.
Nasr Company for Civil Works, Delta for Printing and Packaging, Modern Shorouk Printing, NBK Egypt, and Sinai Cement rose between 9.99% and 8.35%.
Commercial International Bank – Egypt (CIB) rose 0.71% to EGP 78.06.
On the other hand, Cairo Poultry, Egypt Kuwait Holding, Medical Packaging, Orascom Hotels, and General Company for Silos and Storage fell between 5.25% and 1.82%.
Arab and foreign investors were net buyers by EGP 1.26 million and EGP 1.6 million, respectively, while Egyptian investors were net sellers by EGP 2.9 million.
