Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Wednesday on a higher note as the main index added 28.5 points or 0.25% to level up at 11,530.86 points by 10:33am Cairo time on real estate stocks.
Talaat Moustafa was the most active in terms of value after registering EGP 30.9 million, higher 1.4% to EGP 8.55.
Palm Hills came the second highest value of EGP 19.2 million with a 1.6% rise to EGP 3.14.
Meanwhile, the largest EGX30 component declined 1.06% to EGP 68.97 by 10:33am Cairo time
The small and mid-cap EGX70 rose 0.3% to 458.4 points.
The broader index EGX100 and the equal-weighted EGX50 was higher 0.34% and 0.91%, respectively.
Trading value reached EGP 235.3 million after 91.7 million shares were traded by 10:40am Cairo time.
Foreigners and Arabs were net buyers by EGP 14.85 million and EGP 11.5 million, while nationals were net sellers by EGP 29.4 million.
