Cairo – Mubasher: EGX indices initiated Tuesday on a positive note backed by the purchases of Egyptians.
By 10:35am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 rose by 0.75% to 7,464.84 points.
The small and mid-cap EGX70 was 0.18% higher to 369.32 points.
The broader index EGX100 edged up by 0.24% to 776.93 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 moved up by 0.54% to 1,382.87 points.
The bourse registered a turnover of EGP 131.05 million after 59.77 million shares were traded in 3,910 transactions.
Nationals were net buyers by EGP 10.5 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers by EGP 7.9 million and EGP 2.6 million respectively.
The top gainers were led by Assiut Islamic Trading with a rise of 9.55%, while Sidi Kerir Petrochemicals led the top losers with a slide of 10.30% by 10:35am Cairo time
