Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange's (EGX) benchmark EGX30 index rose 0.38% or 51.20 points to the level of 13,531 points early Monday.
By 10:40 am Cairo time, the EGX70 index added 0.99% to 707.26 points, while the EGX100 index edged up 0.73% to 1,602.62 points.
The EGX50 inched up 0.21% to the level of 2,095 points.
Trading volume reached 46.7 million shares exchanged at EGP 78.3 million through 2,800 transactions.
Arab investors were net buyers by EGP 2.23 million, while Egyptian and foreign investors were net sellers by EGP 2.2 million and EGP 22,400, respectively.
Egyptian Resorts, Telecom Egypt, and Sidi Kerir Petrochemicals rose 2.86%, 2.49%, and 2.26%, respectively.
On the other hand, Arab Cotton Ginning, Emaar Misr, and Domty declined 0.41%, 0.38%, and 0.37%, respectively.
Commercial International Bank – Egypt's (CIB) stock rose 0.43% to EGP 84.91.
"The EGX indices are likely to witness occasional movements during the trading session on Monday, which is the end of July trading,” analysts told Mubasher.
