EGX opens on positive note

Cairo – Mubasher: The benchmark EGX30 index of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) rose at Monday’s open by 0.26% or 35.07 points to the level of 13,530.39 points.

By 10:45 am Cairo time, the EGX70, EGX100, and EGX50 indices advanced 0.08%, 0.04%, and 0.31%, respectively.

Trading volume reached 72.83 million shares exchanged at EGP 387.24 million through 4,360 transactions.

Net purchases amounted to EGP 76.5 million by foreign investors and EGP 45.75 million by Arabs, while net sales by Egyptian traders reached EGP 122.26 million.

Porto Holding grew 5.13%, Amer Group levelled up 2.94%, and EFG Hermes rose 2.74%.

Meanwhile, Arabian Cement fell 1.67%, HADISOLB declined 0.88%, and SODIC dropped 0.65%.

The Commercial International Bank – Egypt (CIB) retreated 0.11% to EGP 83.86.
