Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX) boomed at Tuesday’s early trading as the main benchmark rose 0.91 or 53 points to 5,853 points, powered by Arab purchases.
The small and mid-cap EGX70 inched up 0.05% to 353 points. The broader index EGX100 edged up 0.24% to 705 points. The equal-weighted index EGX50 opened higher 0.97% to 1,088 points.
Total trading value registered EGP46 million after 40 million shares were traded in 2,800 transactions.
Arab investors were net buyers by EGP5.8 million, while nationals and foreign investors were net sellers by EGP4.5 million and EGP1.3 million respectively.
