Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX) saw a positive performance in Sunday’s early trades, backed by foreign purchases.
The EGX30 levelled up 1.34% or 174.16 points to reach 13,158.19 points by 10:20am Egypt time.
The EGX70 gained 0.66% or 3.55 points to reach 535.9 points, while the EGX100 added 0.73% to 1,269.37 points.
The market saw trading of 82 million shares, with a turnover of EGP 137.4 million.
Foreign traders carried out purchases worth EGP 3.4 million, while Egyptian and Arabs made sales of EGP 1.8 million and EGP 1.6 million, respectively.
Orascom Telecom Media and Technology Holding (OTMT) was the top gainer with a 5.6% rise, followed by Talaat Moustafa Group Holding (TMG Holding) and Global Telecom Holding which grew 5.29% and 2.78%, respectively.
