Cairo – Mubasher: The sideways-to-rising trend has dominated the indices of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) at the end of Monday’s trading session.
The benchmark EGX30 index added 0.68%, finishing the session at 13,911.34 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 index edged up 0.22% to 685.93 points.
Similarly, the broader EGX100 index went up 0.16% to 1,727.2 points, and the equal-weighted EGX50 index grew 0.8% to 2,233.12 points.
Market capitalisation gained EGP 3.8 billion and ended the session at EGP 783.1 billion.
Trading volume amounted to nearly 273.13 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 1.3 billion through 30,340 transactions.
Foreign investors were mostly buyers, netting EGP 90.74 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers EGP 88.24 million and EGP 2.5 million, respectively.
