EGX sideways movement likely to continue Thursday – Analysts

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) is forecast to extend its sideways performance on Thursday, according to analysts.

The benchmark index EGX30 is moving sideways in a narrow channel extending from 7,900 to 8,100 points on the short run, said market analyst Mohamed Khdir.

On the mid-run, the main index is moving upwardly above the support area of 7,600 points, the analyst added, indicating that any fall below 7,600 points will push the index down to the 7,450 area.

Today, the EGX30 is likely to target the resistance marks at 7,960 points first and then at 8,060 points, while having support at the mark of 7,850 points.

Yesterday, the EGX30 lost 0.52%, or 41 points, to close at 7,907.9 points.
