Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange indices continued their decline till Sunday’s mid-session.
The main index lost 3.5% to reach 6,402 points, while the small and mid-cap index EGX70 fell by 1.98% to 354 points. The broader index EGX100 slipped by 1.8% to 748.9 points.
Several leading stocks moved lower, as CIB – the heaviest weight – dropped by 4.1% to EGP 33.9, with a traded value reaching EGP 18 million.
Arab and foreign traders were net sellers by EGP 865,000 and EGP 119,000 respectively, while nationals were net buyers by EGP 984.7 million.
Traded value amounted to EGP 163.6 million so far.
108 stocks moved down, 4 moved up and 23 others remained unchanged.
Losing stocks were led by Egyptian Real Estate – Bearer Shares, South Cairo Flour Mills, El Kahera El Watania, Rakta and OTMT.
Meanwhile, risers were topped by Egypt Gas, Nilesat, Cairo Oils and National Maize.
