Cairo – Mubasher: The indices of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) have seen a bullish trend early Tuesday on the back of purchases by foreign and Egyptian traders.
By 10:25 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index jumped 154.23 points, or 1.01%, to 15,105 points.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) rose 2.27% to EGP 72.51, with a turnover of EGP 6.7 million.
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index inched up 0.02% to 684.59 points, while the broader EGX100 index added 0.13% to 1,742 points.
Similarly, the equal-weighted EGX50 index went up 0.46% to 2,405 points.
Meanwhile, trading volume amounted to around 16.57 million shares exchanged through 1,420 transactions at a turnover of EGP 46.43 million.
Arab investors were mostly sellers, netting EGP 1.09 million, whereas Egyptian and foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 87,007 and EGP 1.006 million, respectively.
