Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Stock Exchange gave a varied performance at Tuesday’s early trading session.
The main benchmark opened the session lower 0.31% to 6,067, losing 19 points. Likewise, the broader index EGX100 inched down 0.06% to 717 points.
Unlike this downturn, the small and mid-cap EGX70 edged up 0.13% to 354 points.
Trading value reached EGP64 million after 43 million shares were traded over 3,100 transactions.
Tracking early stock movements, CIB, Orascom Telecom, Edita Food, and Palm Hills Development slipped by 1%, 1.69%, 3.6%, and 0.42% respectively.
National and foreign investors were net sellers by EGP4.4 million and EGP3.7 million correspondingly, while Arab investors were net buyers by EGP8.1 million
