EGX suspends trading on 13 stocks

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) decided to suspend trading on 13 stocks after they surged more than 5% after half an hour of the opening of Monday trading session.

In the previous session’s early trade EGX suspended trading on 46 stocks after the declined more than 5%.

Egypt’s bourse kicked off Monday’s trading session on positive note, as the benchmark i added 1.8% or 106 points reaching the level of 5,866 points beating market experts negative expectations.

The stocks of Commercial International Bank surged 3.1% to EGP 31.96 with trading value of EGP 5.4 million.

Meanwhile, the stocks of Talaat Moustafa, Palm Hills and Orascom Telecom Media went up 1.1%, 5% and 3.8% respectively.

 EGX indices succeeded at the end of the previous session in erasing part of the severe losses they suffered in early trade.
