Cairo – Mubasher: The benchmark EGX30 index of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) rose at Thursday’s close by 0.93% or 117.91 points to the level of 12,853.27 points, its highest level in a month.
Similarly, the EGX70, EGX100, and EGX50 indices grew by 1.08%, 0.85%, and 1.24%, respectively.
Trading volume reached 232.6 million shares exchanged at EGP 1.3 billion.
Market capitalisation increased EGP 7.99 billion to EGP 635.94 billion.
Net purchases amounted to EGP 109.4 million by foreign investors and EGP 4.7 billion by Arabs, while net sales by Egyptian investors reached EGP 114.2 million.
Egypt Iron and Steel advanced 7.01%, Arab Cotton Ginning leapt 4.4%, and Ezz Steel ascended 4.2%.
Commercial International Bank – Egypt (CIB) rose 2.14% to EGP 76.51.
Meanwhile, Orascom Telecom, GMC Group, Palm Hills, and Juhayna declined between 2.4% and 2.9%.
