Cairo - Mubasher: The main index of the Egyptian Exchange EGX30 went up by 1.02% last week, gaining 130.72 points, and closing at the level of 12,983.99 points, on the back of the buying activity of foreign investors.
Traded values reached EGP 4.89 billion, with a total volume of 956.9 million shares.
Meanwhile, the market capital increased by EGP 11.7 billion and closed at EGP 647.6 billion.
EGX70 added 2.65% to 532.36 points, while the broader index EGX100 rose by 2.04% and closed the week at 1,260.12 points.
On the other hand, the broader index the equal-weighted index EGX50 declined by 0.27% to 2,001.38 points.
Foreign investors were net buyers at EGP 481 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors leaned towards selling, netting EGP 479.1 million and EGP 1.9 million respectively.
Egyptians dominated 72.6% of last week’s trade, while foreigners and Arabs registered 18.5% and 8.85% respectively.
Individuals dominated 65% of last week’s trad activity, while institutions accounted for 35%.
