Cairo – Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) EGX30 levelled up 1.61% or 216.37 points to reach 13,683.66 points in the week ended 8 June.
Traded volume amounted to 1.1 billion shares exchanged at a value of EGP 3.9 billion.
EGX’s market cap gained EGP 7.7 billion to stand at EGP 686.3 billion this week.
EGX70 rose 6.38% to 609.98 points, EGX100 grew 4.86% to 1,435.73 points, and the equal-weighted EGX50 edged up 2.04% to 2,095.37 points.
During this week, the Egyptian and Arab investors posted a total sale of EGP 407.1 million and EGP 201 million, respectively, against purchases executed by foreign traders at a value of EGP 608.1 million.
Institutions acquired 58.8% of the bourse's trades during the week with net sales of EGP 506.5 million, while the individual got 41.2% of trades with net purchases of EGP 506.5 million.
