Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Tuesday’s trading on a positive note, as its benchmark EGX30 index rose marginally by 0.04% to the level of 12,974.87 points.
By 10:25am Cairo time, the EGX50 index grew 0.02% to 2,065.8 points, while the EGX70 and EGX100 indices declined 0.26% and 0.08%, respectively.
Trading volume reached 42 million shares exchanged at EGP 100 million through 2,200 transactions.
El Obour Real Estate Investment was the top gainer after adding 9.91%, while National Company for Maize Products topped losers after falling 7.56%.
Heavyweight Commercial International Bank – Egypt (CIB) decreased 0.39% to EGP 76.10.
Arab and foreign investors were net buyers by EGP 20 million and EGP 7.5 million, while net sales by Egyptian investors amounted to EGP 27.5 million.
