EGX30 adds 17 pts, EGX100 slips 0.08%; market cap hits EGP 902.5bn Tuesday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange’s (EGX) indices closed in mixed noted on Tuesday.

The benchmark index EGX30 rose 16.86 points, or 0.11%, to close at 15,938.11 points, while the small- and medium-sized enterprises index EGX70 added 0.33% to 798.54 points.

The equally-weighted index EGX50 grew 0.16% to 2,678 points.  

Meanwhile, EGX100 inched down 0.08% to 2,036 points.

Market capitalisation increased by EGP 637.9 million to EGP 902.5 billion.

Commercial International Bank (CIB) went up 2.15% to EGP 85.9, with a turnover of EGP 38.7 million.

Egyptians were mostly sellers, with a total value of EGP 66.13 million, while foreigners and Arabs were mostly buyers, with a total value of EGP 60.25 million and EGP 5.8 million, respectively.

EFG Hermes and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) surged 2.74% and 2.04%, respectively. 

On the other hand, Juhayna dropped 4%, while Palm Hills and Elsewedy Electric tumbled 2.17% and 1.72%, consecutively.
