Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange's (EGX) indices ended the first week in April in mixed notes.
Market capitalisation gained EGP 15 billion and closed at EGP 830.25 billion.
Over the week, the benchmark EGX30 index went up 582 points, or 3.96% to close at 15,247 points.
Meanwhile, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 index declined 1.13% to 678.09 points and the broader EGX100 index shed 0.4% to 1,730 points.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) grew 8.58% at EGP 74, with a turnover of EGP 613 million.
On Thursday
The EGX’s indices rose on Thursday, pushed up by foreign and Arab investors.
The benchmark EGX30 index adds 0.36% to close at 15,253 points.
Market capitalisation gained EGP 1.3 billion to EGP 830.25 billion.
