Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange kicked off Sunday on a mixed note, with EGX30 shooting above 7,500 points.
At 10:30 am Cairo time, the main index EGX30 rose 0.7% to 7,538 points. Likewise, the equal-weighted EGX50 edged up 0.05% to 1,374 points. And the broader index EGX100 went up 0.32% to 786 points. Meanwhile, the small and mid-cap EGX70 moved down 0.13% to 361 points.
Trading value reached EGP134 million after 59 million shares were traded over 5,000 transactions.
National investors were net buyers by EGP3 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net sellers by EGP2.2 million and 838,000 respectively.
Tracking stock movement, the best advancers were topped by SODIC, Oriental Weavers Carpet, and Heliopolis for Housing and Development by 5.57%, 5.13%, and 4.34% correspondingly.
Meanwhile, the negative note was headed by Beltone (-4.08%), Hermes Holding (-3.99%) and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (-3.73%).
