Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) benchmark index EGX30 plumbed in Thursday’s midday trade , as it lost 3.81% reaching the level of 5,968.74.
The benchmark broke below the level of 6,000 points, for the first time since 13 October 2013.
The stocks of Orascom Telecom Media declined 10% amid heavy trades, while the heavy weigh Commercial International bank sagged 6.5%.
The market saw 114.1 million shares changed hand worth EGP 163 million.
