EGX30 down 2.6% in week

Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) saw a negative performance in the last week of November.

The benchmark index EGX30 declined by 2.6% to 13,319.50 points.

EGX70 marginally slipped and settled at 681.59 points.

Meanwhile, the broader index EGX100 fell 0.9% to 1,706.79 points, and the equal weighted index EGX50 dropped 2% and closed the week at 2,185.19 points.

Market cap lost EGP 12.9 billion and reached EGP 750.7 billion.

Anaylst Michael Naguib said that the horizontal moves by the market index were evident, with EGX30 fluctauating between 13,000 and 13,400 points, however, as the blue chip CIB stock broke the support level at EGP 80 per share drove the index before balancing but failing to exceed the resistance level at 13,400 points.

Naguib added that the end of the correction move will be signaled by a movement above the 13,800 point-level.
