Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Tuesday’s trading session in green on the back of Arab investors’ purchases.
The benchmark index EGX30 gained 0.78% or 96.72 points and closed at the level of 12,530.32 points.
EGX70 rose 0.56% to 586.72 points, while EGX100 increased by 0.46% to the level of 1,346.52 points.
Meanwhile, the equal-weighted index EGX50 went up 0.91% and closed at 2,019.63 points.
The market capital grew by EGP 5.3 billion and closed at EGP 654 billion, compared to EGP 648.7 billion on Sunday.
Traded volumes reached 149 million shares with a value of EGP 592 million, through 22,700 transactions.
Arab investors leaned towards buying as the netted EGP 26.6 million, while Egyptian and foreign investors were net sellers at EGP 18.5 million and EGP 8.1 million, respectively.
Delta Sugar led the gainers and surged 9.19%, while Al Arafa for Investment and Consultancies was the biggest loser and dropped 6.25%.
The Commercial International Bank - Egypt (CIB) added 0.60% and closed at EGP 74.06, registering a total turnover EGP 69 million.
