Cairo – Mubasher: The benchmark EGX30 index of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) rose at Wednesday’s open by 0.99% or 131 points to the level of 13,396 points.
By 10:05am Cairo time, the EGX70, EGX100, and EGX50 advanced by 0.79%, 0.63%, and 0.45%, respectively.
Turnover amounted to EGP 443 million; trading volume reached 83 million shares exchanged through 7,000 transactions.
Foreign and Arab investors were net buyers by EGP 43 million and EGP 29.8 million, respectively, while Egyptian investors were net sellers by EGP 72.8 million.
Arabia Investments levelled up 2.9%, Universal ascended 2.6%, and Commercial International Bank – Egypt (CIB) rose 2%.
On the other hand, National Real Estate Bank for Development, Egypt Kuwait Holding, Arabian Cement, Domty, and Ghabbour Auto declined between 1.5% and 0.7%.
