Cairo – Mubasher: The benchmark EGX30 index of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) rose at Wednesday’s close by 0.51% or 61 points to the level of 11,998.7 points.
The EGX50 index grew 0.68% to 1,875.57 points, while the EGX70 and EGX100 indices declined 0.37% and 0.24%, respectively.
Turnover reached EGP 672 million as 155.3 million shares were exchanged.
Foreign and Arab investors were net buyers by EGP 31.6 million and EGP 17 million, respectively, while net sales by local investors reached EGP 48 million.
Cairo Oils and Soap levelled up 0.36%, Universal for Paper advanced 5.21%, and Global Telecom ascended 4.53%.
Heavyweight Commercial International Bank - Egypt (CIB) declined 0.33% to EGP 71.60.
