Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange's main index EGX30 rose 48 points, or 0.6%, to the mark of 8,395.6 points on local investors' buying appetite by 11:25am Cairo time.
Likewise, the small and mid-cap index was 0.5% higher to 367.7 points and the broader index EGX100 was 0.4% up to 815.6 points.
Meanwhile, the equal-weighted index EGX50 edged down 0.32% to 1412 points.
Trading value reached EGP 167 million after 43.2 million shares were traded in more than 6,200 transactions.
Out of 120 traded stocks, 47 were up, 23 down, and 50 flat.
Egyptians were net buyers by EGP 30.6 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers by EGP 26.4 million and EGP 4.2 million respectively.
