EGX30 hovers near 11,500 pts at Tuesday's close

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday’s trading session on a mixed note amid Arab and foreign purchases and local selloffs.

The benchmark EGX30 index rose by 0.24%, ending the mid-week session at 11,461 points.

In the meantime, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI rose by 0.08% to 1,755 points, while the EGX100 EWI edged down 0.04% to 2,656 points.

The EGX50 index fell by 0.26% to close at 2,014 points.

The market cap value retreated by more than EGP 1 billion to reach EGP 628.060 billion.

Local investors were net sellers with EGP 85.23 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 4.2 million and 81 million, respectively.

The market’s turnover registered EGP 1.69 billion after 533.7 million shares were exchanged through around 46,070 transactions.
