Cairo – Mubasher: Most of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indices ended Wednesday in red, with market capitalisation losing around EGP 18 billion.
The benchmark EGX30 index shed 2.52% to 14,026 points and the small- and mid-cap EGX70 index went down 2.22% to 619.2 points.
The broader EGX100 index lost 2.35% to 1,575.36 points, while the equally-weighted EGX50 index rose 4.01% to 2,114.52 points.
Market capitalisation lost EGP 18 billion, reaching EGP 763 billion.
The EGX’s trading volume reached 135.6 million shares, while the market’s liquidity hit EGP 686.3 million.
