Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Sunday's trading session with a massive rise, boosted by Arab and foreign buying.
The benchmark EGX30 index gained 177.77 points, or 1.26%, to close at 14,261.25 points.
The small- and medium-caps EGX70 index rose 0.74% to 687.92 points, while the EGX100 index increased by 0.88% to 1,755 points.
The bourse’s trading volume reached 141.19 million shares, while the market’s liquidity hit EGP 502.26 million.
The heavyweight Commercial Bank International (CIB) inched up 0.01% to EGP 81, with a turnover of EGP 23.9 million.
Orascom Construction soared 9.85%, while Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) surged 9.82%.
Market capitalisation rose EGP 8.4 billion to EGP 788.5 billion.
