EGX30 loses 137 pts in early trade Wednesday

Cairo – Mubasher: The benchmark EGX30 index of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) declined in Wednesday’s early trading to the level of 12,890.28 points, losing 1.05% or 136.86 points.

Likewise, the EGX70, EGX100, and EGX50 indices dropped 0.71%, 0.66%, and 0.93%, respectively.

Trading volume reached 36.7 million shares exchanged through 4,900 transactions, making a turnover of EGP 192.2 million.

Egyptian investors were net sellers by EGP 25.44 million, while net purchases reached EGP 10.18 million by foreign investors and EGP 15.25 million by Arabs.

National Real Estate Bank fell 3.24%, Egyptian Iron and Steel retreated 2.97%, and TMG Group decreased 2.87%.

Commercial International Bank – Egypt (CIB) shrank 1.09% to EGP 76.18.

On the other hand, Oriental Weavers Group grew 1.37%, Global Telecom advanced 0.45%, and GB Auto ascended 0.40%.
