Cairo – Mubasher: The benchmark EGX30 index of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Monday’s session falling by 1.41% or 182.39 points to the level of 12,740.05 points.
The EGX70 index shrank 1% to 514.55 points, the EGX100 index declined 1.33% to 1,231.35 points and the EGX50 index retreated 2.15% to 1,946.9 points.
The market capitalisation dropped by EGP 7.8 billion to EGP 621.8 billion.
Trading volume reached 233.1 million shares exchanged at EGP 1.18 billion.
EFG Hermes made the highest turnover of EGP 222.8 million, the stock fell 2.6% to EGP 23.2.
Heavyweight CIB slid 0.27% to EGP 78.01, with a turnover of EGP 71.8 million.
Net sales by local investors reached EGP 96.2 million, while purchases amounted to EGP 2.8 million by Arab investors and EGP 93.4 million by foreign investors.
