EGX30 opens above 7,600 pts

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange initiated the mid-week trading session on a higher note, powered by the purchases of foreign and Arab investors.

At 11:15am Cairo time, the benchmark leveled up by 0.88% to 7,643 points.

The equal-weighted index rose 0.49% to 1,440 points. The small and mid-cap opened 0.17% higher to 367 point. The broader index increased by 0.42% to 795 points.

Trading value reached EGP278 million after 90 million shares were traded over 8,000 transactions.

Foreign and Arab investors were net buyers by EGP7.6 million and EGP4.2 million respectively, while nationals were net sellers by EGP11.8 million.

Alexandria National Company for Financial Investment, Arab Valves, and Misr Oils and Soap led the top gainers by 9.9%, 9.6% and 6.2% respectively.

Meanwhile, the top losers were headed by Egyptian Company for International Tourism Projects(-6%), Qatar National Bank Al Ahli (-6%), and Palm Hills (-4.1%).
