EGX30 reaches 13,530 points at close

Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Tuesday’s trading session in the green zone.

The benchmark index EGX30 went up 0.29%, gaining 39.45 points, and closed at the level of 13,531.34 points, once again exceeding the 13,500-point level.

EGX70 rose 0.17% to 614.16 points, while the broader index EGX50 added 0.15% and closed at 1441.73 points.

Meanwhile, the equal-weighted index EGX50 gained 0.21% to the level of 2,098 points.

The market capital increased by EGP 2.2 billion, as it closed at EGP 685.6 billion.

Traded volumes reached 353.9 million shares, with a total turnover of EGP 1.09 billion, through 26,500 transactions.

Foreign and Arab investors were inclined to purchase with a net of EGP 4.9 million and EGP 1.9 million respectively, while Egyptian investors were net sellers at EGP 5.7 million.

Domty led the rising blue chip stocks as it surged 9.36%, followed by Emaar and Madinet Nasr Housing and Development with 5.05%, and 3.22%.

On the other hand, Porto Holding was the biggest decliner as it lost 6.98%, followed by Credit Agricole with 2.22%.

The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) went down 0.45%, and closed at EGP 82.52.
