Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange’s indices reversed its early downward movements except the small and mid-cap index EGX70.
By 12:20am Cairo time, the main index EGX30 rose 71.80 points or 0.63% to the mark of 11,498.30 points.
The broader index EGX100 increased 0.31% to 1.080 points.
The equal-weighted index EGX50 inched up 0.01% to 1.863 points.
Meanwhile, the small and mid-cap index EGX70 went down 0.24% to 458 points.
Foreigners and Arabs were net buyers by EGP 55.6 million and EGP 8.5 million respectively, while nationals were net sellers by EGP 64.14 million
Trading value stood at EGP 469.41 million after 188.97 million shares were traded by 12:20pm Cairo local time.
Market analyst Ahmed Al-Bagory earlier said the index is currently moving sideways between 11,030 and 11,700 points, expecting the mid-week session to start in red, but to recover and steady in the second part of the session.
EGX30 edged down 18.3 points or 0.16% to 11,408.19 points by 10:38am Cairo local time (CLT) on Tuesday.
