Cairo – Mubasher: The benchmark EGX30 index of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) leapt at Thursday’s open by 1.7% or 204.25 points to the level of 12,203.5 points.
By 10:31am Cairo time, the EGX70, EGX100, and EGX50 indices rose 0.54%, 0.43%, and 1.35%, respectively.
Turnover reached EGP 283 million reached through exchanging 62 million shares.
Foreign investors were net buyers by EGP 36 million, while net sales reached EGP 35.5 million by local investors and EGP 1.3 million by Arabs.
Global Telecom rose 5.51%, Ezz Steel grew 5.13%, EFG Hermes advanced 3.93%, and Pioneers Holding ascended 3.63%.
Heavyweight Commercial International Bank - Egypt (CIB) levelled up 3.54% to EGP 74.5.
On the other hand, Eastern Company dropped 2.26% to EGP 195.
