Cairo – Mubasher: EGX benchmark opened Wednesday on a higher note, adding 37.72 points, or 0.48%, to reach 7901.75 points at 10:45am Cairo time.
The small and mid-cap EGX70 edged down by 0.07% to 381.66 point. Likewise, EGX100 moved 0.04% lower to 812.16 points.
The most EGX30 heavyweight stock opened 1.11% higher to EGP42.77 with a turnover of EGP56.55 million.
Trading value reached EGP253.8 million with 101.14 million shares changing hands over 7,054 transactions.
Arab investors were net buyers by EGP30.725 million, while nationals and foreigners were net sellers by EGP5.97 million and EGP24.75 million respectively.
The top losers were Heliopolis for Housing, Amer Group, and Oriental Weavers with a decline ranging from 2.72% to 2.42%.
On the flip side, the top gainers were Talaat Moustafa Group, Crédit Agricole, and Edita with a rise swinging from 2.85% to 1.38%.
