Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Monday's trading session on a varied note amid local purchases and foreign and Arab selloffs.
The main EGX30 index rose by 0.57% to end at 10,800 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI dropped by 0.82% to 2,854 points.
In the meantime, the EGX100 EWI retreated by 0.62% to 2,835 points and the EGX50 EWI declined by 0.35% to 2,393 points.
The market cap value increased by EGP 765.59 million to close at EGP 711.244 billion.
Local investors were net buyers with EGP 14.76 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 6.26 million and EGP 8.49 million, respectively.
The market's turnover registered EGP 1.79 billion after 519.3 million shares were exchanged through about 59,290 transactions.
